Life Happens in the Pasture

A first generation farm in Centre County where we are building something real for our family one fence, one animal and one season at a time.

We look forward to sharing the experience with you when you visit.

Grounded in the Good Stuff

Andrew and Mattie Yacka are high school sweethearts who both attended Penn State. What began as a small 3-acre mini farm grew into a bigger vision which involved raising their children surrounded by animals, open land and a life rooted in the outdoors.

In early 2026, that vision became reality when they moved to Centre County and began building Red Dog Ranch (RDR) from the ground up. RDR is a first generation farm built on grit, intention and a love for simple living.

Today, their days are spent outside with their children and red heelers, Cheyenne and Bree, caring for animals and making the most of every season.

When the full moon rises, you can often find them continuing their favorite tradition of family full moon hikes under the night sky.

Guiding the Flow… and the Goats

Jill Wood is a certified yoga teacher (RYT-200) who has been teaching in the State College area since 2019. She loves bringing movement to the pasture through goat yoga, where the focus is less on perfection and more on laughter, connection, and not taking yourself too seriously.

Outside of teaching, Jill is a professor and mom to older kiddos, along with a sassy dog and a flock of backyard chickens.
